    crazy cereal deal at Randalls

    Posted on 12/16/2008 9:08:25 PM  •  Comments (0)  •

the "buy 5, save $5" goes through the rest of the year, but the cheapest prices end today. in a total of 4 trips, i got the following:

    11 Crispex - $1.29 each - $1MQ = 3.19
    5 Raisin Bran - $1.29 each - $1MQ = $1.45
    13 Pop tarts - $1.49 each - $1 off 2 MQ = 13.37
    2 Mini Wheats - $1.49 each - $1 MQ = $.98
    2 Apple Jacks - $1.49 each - $1 MQ = $.98
    1 Frosted Flakes - $1.29 - $1MQ = .29
    1 Cocoa Krispies - $1.29 - $1MQ = .29
    12 Grands Biscuits - $1.49 each - $1MQs= 5.88  (buy 3, get $3 catalina - money maker!)
    1 Marshmellow - $1 - $1 off wyb krispies = FREE
    chocolate chips $2.39 - $1 safeway Q = $1.39
    Soy milk $3.49 - $1 safeway Q = $2.49
    Michelangelos $2.67 - $1 peelie = $1.67
    Grapes
    3 ice cream cups $1 each - $1 safeway Qs = FREE
    Eating right pudding $1.35 - $1 safeway Q = .35
    Tide $.88 - $1 MQ = OVERAGE
    Sour Sgetti - $.99

I ended up paying a total of $16.13 OOP, but I still have another $3 cat to use. the cereals were so cheap it was crazy not to buy them. and i had just run out of poptarts from the august target deal, so .99 a box is where most of this total came from.

edit: round 2 & 3 added! scroll down to view

Yes, that's right- it started at 12 AM Thanksgiving! I was able to hit a 24 hr store and even then some items were already out of stock. Here's what I got (the same items on 2 cards), most are Free After Extra Care Bucks:

    2 Aussie $2.99 each - $1 Q = FAECB
    2 Colgate Advancedd $2.99 each - $1 Q = FAECB
    2 Loreal Lip $6.99 each - $1 Q = FAECB
    1 Johnsons lotion $5.69- $1 Q = FAECB
    1 Garnier towlettes $5.99 - $1 Q = FAECB
1 Sally Hanson nail polish $3.79  = FAECB
    1 Cover girl Liquid foundation $7.99 - $1 Q = FAECB
    1 Cover girl powder $5.99 - $1 Q = FAECB
    1 Playtex - $1 Q = FREE

all of the items above but the playtex and sally hansen were a money maker because of coupons.
one one card i get $10 off $50 Qs, so my total oop was $.39 after using ECB - my profit on that card was $21.01
on the other card, all i had was a $3 off 15, and i somehow LOST a colgate Q instore... so my total was $1.43 instead of $.43 :( and my profit was $12.01

The store was out of both razors, so I got rainchecks, and I didn't get a few of the items that I knew I didn't need. I ran in to quite a few ladies from HCW- very nice. I think I will head out again today but am in no hurry. I am very happy I was able to roll some big $$$ ECB from previous weeks!

    edit: round 2 added!

3 transactions, at 2 stores resulted in the items below and I ended up paying $3.63 OOP with an ECB profit of almost $20!:
am now sitting on ~ $215 in ECB :)

    edit: round 3 added!

     2 Gatorade
    2 Complete Solution
    1 Schick Trimmer
    2 Duracell
    1 Philips Headphones
    = OOP of 44 CENTS!

    kroger's daytona deal

    Posted on 2/5/2009 1:08:24 PM  •  Comments (0)  •

So it's not the same as the Mega Deal from the past two weeks- different items and different prices- buy 10 items, get $3 off. Here's the best scenario I came up with for today (prices AFTER $3 discount):

    5 Betty Crocker fruit snacks - $1.49 each - 3 ($.50/1MQ doubled) - 1 ($.50/2 MQ doubled) = $3.45
    3 Pizza Roll 15ct- $.95 each - 3 ($.35/1 MQ tripled)= -$.30 ! (used shortcuts Q for another 50 cents off)
    2 Grands $97 each - 2 ($.40/1 MQ doubled)= $.34

Total OOP=$2.97 and I got a cat for $3.50 onyo from the betty crocker (5+ )

    more juice :)

    Posted on 1/12/2009 8:20:07 PM  •  Comments (0)  •

I got more coupons in the mail today for $1 off the Ocean Spray. Always always click the help button on the print page of Bricks coupons, and request them to be mailed! It never hurts :)

    5 juice = FREE
    2 soap = FREE
    1 tide= FREE
nestle water - FREE Q (catalina)
    olives - FREE
    Craisins $1 Q

    Total OOP= $.13

    cvs clearance

    Posted on 3/18/2009 10:00:00 AM  •  Comments (0)  •

I have so many more ECB to spend this week before they expire, I basically have to give in and "waste" them. Check out the clearance sections at your stores to find what you can at 90% off.

These blankets were just $.25 each

I had to buy them- figure I can donate to the shelters once it gets cold again, or to maybe an animal shelter.
Used a $3 ECB and $.50 on GC for the ice breakers.
